CASE STUDY

Parks and Leisure Australia National Conference

15 Years of Partnership | 2 International Congresses | Delivered All Around Australia

Overview

Since 2010, CD Events has been the trusted event management partner for Parks and Leisure Australia's National Conference — the peak annual event for professionals across the parks, recreation, sport and leisure sectors. Rotating to a new host city or state each year, the conference has grown under CD Events' management into one of the sector's most anticipated events, twice expanding into full International Congresses.

Parks and Leisure Australia National Conference

  • 15 Years of Partnership (2010–2025)

  • 500+ Delegates per Event

  • 50+ Exhibition Booths

  • 120+ Speakers

  • 12 Awards of Excellence Ceremonies

  • 2 International Congresses

The Challenge

Delivering a flagship national conference for 15 consecutive years takes more than logistics. Each year brought a new host city or state, a fresh venue, and a new set of local suppliers and stakeholders to coordinate — all while maintaining a consistent, high-quality experience for delegates travelling from across Australia and overseas. Twice, that challenge scaled further still, with the conference expanding into full International Congresses.

What We Delivered

CD Events managed every element of the conference, year after year:

  • National event rotation across Australian cities and states

  • 500+ delegates per event, drawn from across the country and internationally

  • A thriving exhibition floor of 50+ booths

  • A speaker program of 120+ presenters across keynote, breakout and panel sessions

  • 12 Awards of Excellence ceremonies celebrating best practice in the sector

  • 2 International Congresses, elevating the event to a global stage
